On trying to archive the userlist, I get the error: No such file or directory.
The path in the error message is the path to the database on the server. The name of the file is always like 'ar*.zip' with different random(?) characters.

I try to start the archive userlist on my Windows DOORS 9 client.
It works for another DOORS database.
The DOORS 9 server is on a Sun 10 server, and the path in the error message is the path to the database on this server.

I think that you probably have no write access for your server.
So, choice a new path in the Manage Users / Archives windows (see attched file)

I'm not working on the server. I'm working on my Windows box with a DOORS client.
Yes, I have write access to my desktop, and yes, it works with an other database.

Can you send a picture of your "Manage Users" menu, tab "Archives" ?

YES.
It is the path to the '-s serverdata' where the DOORS database lives.
The 'doorsd' runs with user 'doors' and the user 'doors' is owner of this path with read and write and execute rights.

Problem solved.
In $DOORSHOME/etc where two programs missing: zip and unzip.
After reinstalling these two programs all archiving and restoring is working.
